Aliakbarova Senior teachers of KazNU named after Al-Farabi The article deals with the role of the upbringing process in the life of a man and the purpose of training of future specialists in higher educational institutions, including Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In this university educational process is carried out simultaneously with the upbringing process. All the activities of the university is aimed at education and training of highly qualified, competitive specialists. To achieve this goal, such innovative projects as “Enlighten your environment”, “Greencampus”, “A healthy lifestyle”, “The top 100 books which a student of KazNU should read” are implemented at our university. The aim of the project “Enlighten your environment” is the formation of high moral character of students and the training of future specialists for independent living. The project “Greencampus “ is aimed at greening departments, faculties and the whole campus. The project “The top 100 books which a student of KazNU should read” involves the formation of highly educated and highly cultured country’s future professionals. The purpose of the project “A healthy lifestyle” is promoting healthy lifestyles. The main purpose of all these projects is to nurture healthy, well-educated and competitive youth. These projects are being implemented through various activities carried out by teachers of the university.
