Al-Farabi Associate Professor, senior lecturer, senior lecturer The article discusses the status of the Russian language on the territory of modern Kazakhstan . Cultural and historical processes, of course, have an impact primarily on the lexical structure of the Russian language in Kazakhstan. Russian language exists, on the one hand, within the range of Russian culture, on the other hand - the operating and even develops within an entirely different exogenous culture. For carriers of the Russian language it is native, but communication takes place in their own language within different mentality, a different cultural space, and this naturally affects the state of the Russian language as it is impossible to ignore the existing reality, necessary for adequate cross-cultural communication situations taken in a given culture in which a man must exist. It is obvious that, in the conditions of functioning of any cultural realities, the language can not react to individual borrowing language units or word forms. These borrowings reflect the impact of the conceptual picture of the world in another language and are caused by close and prolonged contact between nations, resulting in a unit borrowed harmoniously included in the language and not something alien. However, according to the authors, one can hardly say that borrowing, even very many, have led to any systemic changes in Russian language. Russian and Kazakh languages are not related, and even in a close contact of interference are limited filling lexical gaps without affecting the structure of language in general.
