Summary Possibilities of patriotic education of students on the basis of ethnic and cultural values Bakhtiyarova G. – candidate(Ph.D) of pedagogical sciences, associate professor of the Aktobe Regional State University after K.Zhubanov.aibol04@mail.ru Nurtazina N. – 2 th course master specialty of «pedagogics and psychology» naz_gul.kz.@mail.ru; In this article comprehensively analyzed the importance of ethnic and cultural values in the patriotic education of students of higher educational establishment. In addition, there are given the judgment and opinions of scientists about the concepts of «patriotism», «national patriotism», and «Kazakhstan patriotism». The authors emphasize the role of the rational use of cultural and spiritual values of the people, which are based on the formation of the national identity of students through the love of his native land, through knowledge chronicles the history of the country, knowledge of literature and regional ethnic and cultural specificity. The authors examine the work by patriotic education with students of higher educational establishment in real practice. Also, in this article describes the features and possibilities of the development of personal qualities and patriotic consciousness of youth on the basis of regional ethnic and cultural values.
