Abstract. One of the most important principles of state policy is the education of
citizenship and patriotism. Military and sports-patriotic education, being an integral part of
patriotic education in general, serves the cause of ensuring national security by educating
citizens in readiness and ability to defend Russia's national interests with arms. The article shows
the features of education of patriotism among students.
