Abstract The article is devoted to the development of critical thinking in the process of teaching English in secondary school. Inculcating the technology of teaching critical thinking in the process of teaching English, the author considers that this technology conforms to the modern requirements of society to school education – development of personality who will be able to analyze, synthesize and evaluate information.
