The majority of OE nouns belonged to the a-stems, ō-stems and n-stems.

Declension of ō-stem (feminine)

Sing. Plur.

Nom. lār lāra

Gen. lāre lāra

Dat. lāre lārum

Acc. lāre lāra

The vocalic stems: i –stems and u- stems included nouns of different genders. Division into genders breaks up i-stems into 3 declensions, but is irrelevant for u-stems: Masculine and Feminine u- stems decline alike
