Throughout  the  entire  period  of  the 
educational  programme,  our  undergraduate 
and  postgraduate  students  have  repeatedly 
become  prize-winners  and  winners  of  national 
and international olympiads, competitions. They 
have been awarded diplomas and medals. They 
actively  participate  in  scientific  and  practical 
international conferences, at such universities as 
Lomonosov Moscow State University, the RUDN 
University (Moscow), Al-Farabi Kazakh National 
University,  Abai  Kazakh  National  Pedagogical 
University. Also, they publish articles in journals 
recommended by the Ministry of Education and 
Science  of  the  Republic  of  Kazakhstan,  Russian 
Science Citation Index of Russian Federation, etc.
Annually 
undergraduate 
students 
in 
psychology undergo scientific training in foreign 
and  domestic  universities.  Among  them  are 
Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski, Bulgaria, 
Lyon  University,  France,  St.  Petersburg  State 
University,  Russia,  Scandinavian  Institute  of 
Academic  Mobility  (Finland,  Seinajoki),  Al-
Farabi KazNU, etc.
Graduates  of  the  department  work  in  all 
regions of Kazakhstan. Our psychologists work 
in  state  security  agencies  (National  Security 
Committee,  Ministry  of  Defense,  Ministry  of 
Internal  Affairs),  in  educational  institutions 
(Ministry  of  Education  and  Science,  Altynsarin 
National  Academy  of  Education,  Committee 
for  the  Protection  of  Children’s  Rights  of  the 
Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, 
international schools: Private British International 
School  Haileyburys,  Nazarbayev  Intellectual 
School,  colleges,  schools  of  Nur-Sultan  and  the 
Republic,  children’s  educational  institutions), 
health  care  institutions  (hospitals  Nur-Sultan, 
Children’s 
Medical 
Psychoneurological 
Institution,  Maternity  and  Childhood  Center, 
rehabilitation  centers),  state  enterprises, 
institutions  and  companies  (administration  of 
Nur-Sultan  Akim),  national  companies  such  as 
JSC  «NC  «KazakhstanTemirZholy»,  National 
Olympic  Committee  of  Kazakhstan  and  many 
others.
The  psychological  science  of  independent 
Kazakhstan  in  the  21st  century  stands  at  the 
origins  of  its  formation  and  development. 
Despite  this,  we  all  saw  the  need  and  demand 
for highly qualified psychologists during several 
crisis events taking place in our state and in the 
world.  Our  specialists  were  actively  involved 
in  rendering  help  to  victims  of  explosions  in 
Arys  city,  during  floods  in  Turkestan  region, 
in  implementation  of  «Zhusan»  operation  on 
return  and  rehabilitation  of  595  Kazakhstani 
people  to  their  homeland  from  Syria.  During 
the  crisis  of  coronavirus  pandemic  COVID-19, 
all  psychologists  were  involved  in  process  of 
formation of a psychologically stable personality, 
capable  of  avoiding  stressful  situations  and 
defeating the disease.
In the context of the 25th anniversary of L.N. 
Gumilyov  Eurasian  National  University  the 
psychology department invites all psychologists 
and  psychology  students  to  unite  and  take  an 
active part in the international conference «New 
living  conditions  in  the  situation  of  search  of 
meaning  of  existence  of  personality  of  XXI 
century».
