TEXT COMPETENCE AS ONE OF THE IMPORTANT COMPONENTS
OF THE TRANSLATOR’S
PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE

Summary
The article considers the text of one of the competences of translators. When translating, the
translator can work with the same text, analyze and analyze the text, providing a real, direct trans-
lation. Analysis of text competence with its types. Work with diff erent styles of text. It was shown
that researchers analyze the opinions of scientists in translation.
In our understanding, text competence is a fi ve-component component of perception, under-
standing, reproduction, writing and interpreting competence. Modern research in textualization and
interpretation of the text allow us to consider the competence as a separate category, on the one
hand, and, on the other hand, as a component of communicative competence.
