Purpose: mastering the principles of organization and functioning of computer networks, personal computer networks, familiarity with modern computer network technology and methods of transmission, storage, retrieval, processing and presentation of information

Contents: Subject matter and structure of discipline. Standardisation of network solutions. Hardware of computer networks. The choice of active and passive equipment for building LAN. Technology of construction and operation of global networks

Competences: configuration network hardware in modern operating systems.
