Introduction
. According to statistical data of Turkestan Regional Center of
Phthisiopulmonology, the incidence of tuberculosis among children from 0–17 years
in 2017 was 7.1 cases per 100 thousand, in 2018 – 5.3 cases, in 2019 – 8.2 cases, in
2020 – 5.5 cases, in 2021 – 5.2 cases and in 2022 – 4.5 per 100 thousand children.
In the available literature less than 500 confirmed cases of congenital tuberculosis
have been reported. Over the past 6 years, 2 cases of congenital tuberculosis have
been registered in the Turkestan region. The difficulty of diagnosing congenital
tuberculosis is associated with polymorphism and non-specificity
of the clinical
manifestation of disease. We have obtained a unique
experience of successful
treatment of both cases of congenital tuberculosis in our practice.
