Volunteering
What is the difference between a volunteer and a social worker?
Volunteer in Social Work
Social work is a blanket term often used to describe a number of different volunteering efforts to improve a community’s overall well-being. Social work offers a diverse range of volunteer projects for people with varied skill sets. From engaging youths by organizing community theaters in the Philippines to setting up vaccination camps in Uganda, travellers who wish to volunteer abroad in social work have plenty to choose from. Nonprofit organizations seek the help of individuals who are passionate about creating a positive change in vulnerable communities affected by social injustice, conflicts, disease, poor medical infrastructure and other societal problems.
