Lorena Lorena is staying in Brighton. She's studying English in one of language schools. Last weekend she went to London together with her friends. Lorena wrote a letter to her mother.
Dear mum,
Yesterday I went to London with my friends. We had much fun there. We traveled to London by train and used a double-decker to go around the city. London is great! It's a very large city. We visited St. Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and the Tower of London. Then we walked down Oxford Street where all the shops are, but everything was very expensive. After that we went to Hyde Park and I found it very beautiful and lovely. We saw people riding horses. It is possible to ride a horse in Hyde Park.
There were a lot of foreigners in London. People were from many different countries, I was very happy because I could speak to some of them. I spoke English with a boy from France and a girl from Japan when we were near St. Paul's. I was tired afterwards but everything was so interesting.
Did you see granny yesterday? How was she? Is she well? How did father like his trip to Germany last week? I'm so happy you have bought a dog at last! What's it like? I'm looking forward to see it.
