Университет узнаваем и в международном обра-
зовательном пространстве. Этому
способствуют рас-
ширение международного сотрудничества, участие в
работе международных организаций, проектах и про-
граммах, вебинарах, конференциях в режиме онлайн,
международных ярмарках, организуемых зарубежны-
ми вузами-партнерами.
Университет продолжает работу по трансформа-
ции в национальный исследовательский университет.
Разработаны Концептуальная модель трансформации
Казахского национального аграрного университета в
Казахский национальный аграрный исследователь-
ский университет (2010–2016 гг.) в свете стратегии
«Казахстан-2050» и Дорожная карта трансформации
университета на 2014–2016 годы.
Ведется работа по внедрению корпоративного
управления.

he implementation of the University’s
development strategy includes four main
strategic directions, 13 target indicators and
71 indices.
The aim was set forward to develop the
University’s scientific research and innovative potential
in accordance with priorities of industrial-innovation and
social economic development in order to realize the first
strategic direction – “Formation of the university as a
research center focused on innovative activity”.
The main objectives defined in this direction are to
conduct research and development work which meets
international standards; to create and develop innovative
infrastructure.
Masters’ and PhD research topics has been formed in
accordance with the scientific directions of the University
and priorities of sustainable development of the agricultural
sector. All masters’ and doctoral thesis are carried out in
the framework of university research projects.
Research and development work performance at the
University meets the international standards requirements,
creates conditions for the development of innovation
infrastructure.
Formation of the university as an innovative
development focused on research center is carried out
with the participation of 6 research institutes, 4 innovation
centers, and 17 laboratories. Research work and Research
Advanced Development Program are approved annually.
To improve the education quality by ensuring the
implementation of the Bologna process principles, the
expansion of educational programs accredited by national
and international accreditation agencies, improving the
educational activities of the university, developing of
employment programs, involving students in research
projects are the main aims according to the second strategic
direction – “Training competitive specialists”,
5 indicators have been determined in this direction:
university participation in the world rankings, the share of
accredited educational programs; instructional literature
supply; the proportion of teaching staff, who had advanced
qualification; employers’ satisfaction level with training
quality (as a result of social survey).
The main objectives aimed at improving the quality of
education are:
1. Ensuring the implementation of the Bologna Process
principles.
2. Expansion of the educational programs accredited by
national and international accreditation agencies.
3. Improving the educational activities of the university.
4. Development of employment programs.
Since 2010, the University has coordinated the
development of academic mobility among the agricultural
universities of the country.The amount of undergraduates,
PhD students studying abroad for at least one academic
year for the entire period of training increased by 10%.
The third strategic direction – “Development of
educational and scientific infrastructure” aims at improving
the material and technical base of the university through
its development.

The development of material and technical base is
highlighted as the main objective in the frame of this
direction.
The formation of a highly cultured, socially responsible
personality is defined as the main purpose of the fourth
strategic direction – “Formation active citizenship in young
people”.
Implementation of this direction is achieved by
providing a systematic approach in educational work, in
the development of social partnership, in building healthy
lifestyle.
Tendency to growth is observed for the reporting
period in terms of all indicators of the objective “Formation
of Healthy Lifestyle”.
In general, the development strategy of the University
corresponds to the facilities available in the University and
meets labor market requirements.
The university has all opportunities to realize mission,
goals and objectives set forward in accordance with the
requirements of the labor market.
In order to support the University’s mission, goals and
objectives, the following approaches are used:
• Improving career guidance aimed at the formation of
motivated students;
• Improvement of credit and distance learning
technologies in the framework of the academic freedom
and the formation of individual learning trajectory
with a wide range of elective courses;
• Assessment of basic technical and managerial
competencies academic and administrative staff,
masters' program and doctoral students to include
them in the personnel reserve;
• The continued support of the quality management
system, regular self-assessment activities and
international accreditation of educational programs;
• Formation of the expanded list of topics on Masters
and PhD doctoral work allowing to monitor
research, both in separate scientific directions
and in areas of agriculture, a timely control the
number of publications and the staff and structure of
agribusiness organizations interested in the results of
research;
• Implementation of measures on assessment of country
needs in specialists and designing the list of most
required specialties and educational programmers in
training and retraining cadres for both enterprise and
organizations of agro-industrial complex and separate
the of the regions agricultural producers;
• formation of a data bank of innovative projects,
monitoring of innovative research, structuring and
prioritizing projects, forming a portfolio of innovative
projects;
• increasing the integration of education, science and
industry;
• development of technology
transfer and equipment;
• realization of the strategic portfolio of projects in order
to transform the university into a national research
university;
• improving the structure and principles of corporate
management, the widespread use of tools and
techniques of project management based on
international standards governing the management of
projects, programs and portfolios.
• promotion the publication of scientific papers by
academic staff in international journals with non-zero
impact factor to enhance the rank of the university;
• commercialization of scientific-research development
and increase in the number of patented intellectual
property;
University works on the transformation to
a national research university. The conceptual
model of transformation of KazNAU to
KazNAIU (2010–2016 years) in t the strategy
“Kazakhstan-2050” and the transformation of
the Road Map of the University for 2014–2016.
