The content of the article is intended to determine the characteristics of changes in the value
orientation of University students. The characteristic of the process of adaptation of students to a
profession is given, needs and motives of the personality are analyzed. Research work is carried out to
determine the characteristics of changes in the value orientation of students of pedagogical specialties, it
is a qualitative analysis of the results of the research.
