Abstract. Patriotic education has always been a significant problem for the public
education system. Ideas of patriotic education included historically and socio-culturally
conditioned system of qualities, acting norms and values that determine the consciousness and
behavior of the individual. The key task in modern Russia is to educate patriotic young people
with independent thinking, creative outlook and professional knowledge.
