Abstract. In the article "Patriotism in figures briefly justifying the assertion that the sub-
ject of patriotism is the people, rather than the individual person. Outlines the range of interests
based on attribute properties of the nation, which expresses and protects the patriotic idea.
Considering quantitative measures public opinion regarding signs of patriotism as changing size,
the article notes that they depend on both the position of ordinary people, and objectively the
situa-tion prevailing in the country under influence of external and internal circumstances.
Depending on the dynamic characteristics of national interests change indicators peculiar people

ideas about signs of patriotism. The numbers reflect not only the direct relevance of this or that
trait patriot-ism, but his obvious meaning.
