Abstract. The article is devoted to the scout movement. The concept of scouting is
discovered and the history of its creation is described. The necessity of the formation of love for
the motherland among young people is justified on the example of the scout movement. The
involvement of young people in active socially significant activities thanks to scout
organizations increases the level of patriotic education, which occupies a leading position in the
list of important values of citizens.
