Abstract
The article tells about the formation of the political views of the Kokshetau activist, revolutionary, democrat,
historian and economist Mambetali Serdarin, who left a significant mark in the public life of the country.
Formation of political views of M. Serdalin accompanied with the development of democratic movements in the
extreme parts of the Russian Empire. Progressive ideas of political prisoners have been instrumental in
formulating Mambetali Serdarin's public-political views.
