THE KAZSSR INSTITUTE OF ASTRONOMY AND PHYSICS ACTIVITY
IN DAYS OF THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR
Abstract
In this article on the basis of the analysis of archival materials historical prerequisites and fundamental factors
of creation in the territory of Kazakhstan of Institute of astronomy and physics are considered. Being a part of a
survey research of a contribution of the Kazakhstan scientific thought to development of astronautics, the
considered materials give an idea of content of the work on preservation and further enhancement of scientific
capacity of the Soviet state which is carried out in the republic in the period of the Great Patriotic War. From a
position of a historical retrospective the conditions of adoption of historical decisions are shown, the role of
certain scientists in the course of their realization is revealed, process of formation of separate establishment of
modern space branch of the Republic of Kazakhstan is opened. The reliability of the given facts is defined by
character of the used sources most of which is presented by archival fund of the Central archive of National
Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
