bstract.
This article discusses the issues of international relations of the Kazakh Khanate. The author 
draws attention to these historical sources testifying to the existence in XVIth - early XVIIIth century of 
diplomatic relations between the Kazakh governors and such countries and peoples as Moscow 
(Russian) State, the Ottoman Empire, Safavid (Kyzylbash) State, the Crimean Khanate, Mughal Empire, 
Mogulskii State, Central Asian States of Shaybanids and Ashtarkhanids, the State of Altyn-khans and 
Oirats. The work is written on the basis of written historical sources and relevant research literature. The 
main sources of information for the study were the Eastern medieval Muslim historians and published 
Russian archival documents. 
The author comes to the conclusion, that the data from historical sources show the Kazakh Khanate 
was the full subject of international relations and had diplomatic contacts with a number of neighboring 
countries.
