At present most newspapers are available on the Internet but most people still
prefer to read the printed version.
In the USA there is only one nation newspaper – USA Today, the rest are
local, but some of the newspapers from large cities, such as The New York Times,
The Washington Post, are read all over the country.
7. Search the Internet and divide the following newspapers into Top British and American ones.
Mark them as
T
for tabloids and
B
for broadsheets.
The Independent and Independent on Sunday, The New York Times, Daily
Telegraph, The Observer, The Sun, The Daily Mirror, The Washington Post, Financial
Times, The Times, The Morning Star, Daily Herald, The Guardian, The Independent, Daily
News, Star Tribune.

everywhere;

they provide: quality reporting, accurate, honest,
reliable news;
•
they have high reputation;
•
they are thick.
•
They are less expensive, half the size on the
broadsheet (easy to hold and read);
