Research results

The higher education process leads

To a decrease in the functionality of the light-receiving part of the visual sensory system and a change in the functional state of the light-receiving part of the visual sensory system.
Visual acuity and contrast sensitivity decrease, dark and light adaptation worsens, which indicates trophic disorders in the tissues of the fundus and optic nerve, which are aggravated by the end of the university.

The higher edu-cation process leads

Changes in the functional state of the auxiliary structures of the visual sensory system consist in the annual decrease in the volume of absolute and relative accommodation, the progression of myopia.

The system of preventive mea-sures substantia-ted in the study

Allows to optimize the functional state of the visual sensory system of students, the allocation of a "risk group" for systematic preventive treatment prevents the development of myopia.

Nevertheless, the formation of needs for physical and mental health is a determining factor in the period of students' education at the university. Continuing the development of the topic of health and health-saving behavior of students from the standpoint of sociological and medical approaches among students of higher education [9], a study was carried out on the main directions of studying the model of health-saving behavior [10]. The results of the survey showed that, despite the wide possibilities of using health-improving resources, there are problems in the student environment due to both social, economic, cultural characteristics, and the level of education in the formation of health-saving behavior.

Conducting research at the university is conditioned by socio-cultural, economic and political peculiarities, as well as value orientations of students, typical for Kazakhstani educational institutions.
Judging by previously conducted studies, the most acute problems facing student youth today are the following: health problems, the continuing lack of knowledge in the field of health preservation, the organization of their own study regimen, recreation and recreational activities, as well as related to the above - social problems [ 11, 12].
At the preliminary (reconnaissance) stage, a cluster sample was used: the study in the selected groups was continuous. In total, 64 respondents were interviewed, of which 69% were girls, which is typical for most groups. There were no significant differences in the age structure.
The study of such an issue as the concept of health-improving resources caused certain difficulties and showed that the majority of young people (69%) lack a comprehensive understanding of possible health-improving resources.
In some cases (47%), this concept is replaced only by fitness and swimming. But. even fitness is understood in a somewhat distorted view - that is, with the use of varying degrees of sports nutrition, proteins (28%). There is another idea about health-improving resources - this is the limitation of bad habits: smoking, drinking alcohol (74%). In addition, attention is drawn to the fact that few people think about the influence of these factors on human health (77%).
Assessing their health behavior for the current period of time, the majority of respondents (79%) noted an increase in the use of health resources over the past year. This was partly due to the conduct of an elective course (lectures and seminars) among students on the formation of health-preserving behavior. The study showed that the functional state of the visual sensory system of students changes during the period of study. Its shifts are on the border of norm and pathology, being the physiological cost of vocational training. Also, during the entire period of study, students experience changes in the light-receiving part of the visual sensory system: visual acuity worsens, mainly at high frequencies (6-12 cycles / degrees), contrast sensitivity decreases, which indicates a decrease in central vision, initial trophic disorders in the retina are revealed and optic nerve
And all this is associated with an intense study load, acting against a background of tension in adaptation mechanisms, leads to changes in the auxiliary structures of the visual system: the volume of absolute and relative accommodation decreases, myopic refraction is formed, and the number of students presenting asthenopic complaints increases. This, apparently, is facilitated by a significant increase in intraocular pressure during exercise.
The state of the visual system at the stage establishes the appearance of asthenopic complaints and a decrease in working capacity, manifested by weak accommodation, can be regarded as overtraining of the visual analyzer, which makes it possible to assess the current state of the visual sensory system in the learning process, are visual acuity, the volume of relative accommodation and refraction.
