ПРедиСЛовие
(Foreword)
Настоящее учебное пособие предназначено для студентов I, II курсов вузов 
всех форм обучения, а также для широкого круга лиц, совершенствующихся 
в изучении нормативной грамматики английского языка. Оно может быть ис-
пользовано и для самостоятельной подготовки абитуриентов к вступительным 
экзаменам в вузы, и для сдачи ЕГЭ по английскому языку. пособие составлено 
в соответствии с требованиями программы курса иностранного языка для ву-
зов неязыковых специальностей (Москва, 2004). 
Целью пособия является систематизация и обобщение основных сведений 
в  области  грамматики  современного  английского  языка  и  развитие  навыков 
грамматически  правильной  устной  и  письменной  речи  для  дальнейшего  ис-
пользования английского языка как в профессиональной деятельности, так и в 
процессе самообразования.
пособие содержит 22 тематических раздела, итоговый тест, грамматический 
справочник и приложение. Каждый раздел посвящен определенной граммати-
ческой  структуре  и  включает  разнообразные  упражнения,  обеспечивающие 
интенсивную и всестороннюю тренировку данной структуры и формирующие 
навыки практического владения грамматическим материалом. 
Каждый  раздел  содержит  также  английские  пословицы,  небольшие  юмо-
ристические рассказы и тексты монологического и диалогического характера, 
построенные  на  изучаемых  грамматических  структурах.  Они  рассчитаны  на  
реализацию потребностей студентов в самостоятельном чтении, а также могут 
использоваться в учебном процессе как основа для развития навыков чтения, 
аудирования, письма и устной речи. Разделы завершаются тестами множест-
венного  выбора,  позволяющими  самостоятельно  проверить  полученные  зна-
ния. С целью самоконтроля в конце пособия приводятся ключи к тестам. 
изучение всех тематических разделов заканчивается итоговым тестом, ко-
торый объединяет и обобщает языковой материал и помогает повторить грам-
матические структуры в новом лексическом окружении в комплексе с другими 
грамматическими явлениями. 
в пособии имеется краткий грамматический  справочник, в котором пред-
ставлен теоретический материал изучаемых тем. Справочник предназначен для 
самостоятельной работы над грамматическими темами.
в  конце  пособия  дано  приложение,  которое  содержит  таблицу  наиболее 
употребительных неправильных глаголов и таблицу основных способов сло-
вообразования.
Материал  пособия  апробирован  на  кафедре  иностранных  языков  гумани-
тарного  и  экономического  факультетов  вятского  социально-экономического 
института.
