A.Y. Gubenko, N.N. Khan Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Almaty, Kazakhstan Bullying-victimization in the educational environment as a scientific and pedagogical phenomenon Abstract. The article highlights the problem of bullying as a modern phenomenon in the educational
system. The authors reveal the specifics of school bullying and associate this phenomenon with the safety of
the educational environment and socialization. The authors emphasize that a safe educational environment is
the key to the successful development of the personality of schoolchildren. There are shown the scale of school
bullying in the global educational space and its negative impact on the mental development of students. The
article presents some of the bullying characteristics. It is proposed to expand the conceptual field of “bullying”
by including the concept of “bullying-victimization”. The legitimacy of the sought concept is proved on the basis
of the analysis of the conceptual series of victimology, bullying in the works of domestic and foreign researchers,
clarified by the authors of the concept of “school bullying”. Some characteristics and consequences of bullying
victimization, which are manifested among adolescents, are presented and there are indicated prospects for its
research in the professional training of a teacher.
