German aspectology in the interpretation of aspectual relationship

The article describes the research carried out in line with linguistics and covers the modern 

field of linguistics – aspectology. The category of aspectuality is the field of study of many linguists. 

The  problem  of  aspectuality  in  the  framework  of  linguistic  anthropocentrism  is  of  particular 

importance,  since  this  principle  allows  considering  the  category  of  aspectuality  as  a  fact  of 

grammatical thinking. This article systematizes different approaches of scientists in the study of the 

category  of  aspectuality  English  language  in  the  aspect  of  aspectual  relationships.  The  historical 

development  of  the  category  of  aspect  in  the  English  language  is  noted.  The  article  describes 

various approaches and theories of the study of the category of aspectuality in the English language 

as  Russian  philologists  (A.  O.  Komarov,  A.  I.  Smirnitsky,  B.  A.  Ilyish,  V.  D.  Arakin,  etc.)  and 

foreign researchers (G. Verkuil, L. Bloomfield, B. Comrie, and A. Kennedy).
