Exercise 2. C hange the following sentences by using ‘m uch, m an y ’ instead of ‘a lot o f .

Exercise 4. C om plete the second sentence using the w ord given, so th a t it has a sim ilar

two and five w ords in each gap.

Exercise 5. Com plete th e sentences choosing the rig h t q u an tifier: few, a few, quite a few, 
fewer, the fewest, m any o r little, a little, quite a little, less, (the) least, m uch.
M ind that uncountable nouns are always singular and are not normally used with a/an. Some nouns 
which are countable in Russian are uncountable in English. Here are some o f them:
