Сын есімнің шырайлары.(Degrees of Comparison of adjectives and adverbs). Ағылшын тілінде қазақ тіліндегідей сын есімнің үш түрлі шырайы бар: жай шырай(негізгі түрі), салыстырмалы шырай, күшейтпелі шырай. Жай шырай сын есімнің өзге шырайларының мағыналарына да, формаларына да негіз болып саналады:long, good, little. Салыстырмалы шырай бір заттың сынын екінші бір заттың сынына салыстырып,сол салыстырылған белгілердің бір-бірінен не кем,не артық екенін білдіреді.Салыстырмалы шырай тудыратын жұрнақ-er [ә] : long(ұзын)- longer (ұзынырақ). Күшейтпелі шырай заттың бастапқы сындық қасиетін күшейте түседі. Бұл шырай бір буынды немесе қос буынды негізгі сын есімдерге –est[ist] жұрнағын жалғау арқылы жасалады. Мұндай күшейтпелі шырайда тұрған сын есімдердің алдында белгілілік артикль қолданылады: longer-ұзынырақ the longest-(ең ұзын) Көп жағдайда қос буынды немесе көп буынды сын есімдердің салыстырмалы шырай түрі more сөзі арқылы,ал күшейтпелі шырай түрі most сөзі арқылы жасалады,мысалы: comfortable-ыңғайлы the most comfortable-(ең ыңғайлы)
Жұрнақтардың жалғануына байланысты кейбір сын есімдердің жазылуы өзгереді, мысалы: 1)-y happy – happier – the happiest 2)-er clever – cleverer - the cleverest 3)-ow narrow- narrower-the narrowest 4)-e simple- simpler - the simplest 5) thin – thinner – the thinnest. Comparison of adjectives Positive,comparative and superlative. Give the comparative and the Superlative of the following: strong merry wide dangerous difficult good fortunate bad useful nice little beautiful for greedy much magnificent many Comparison of adjectives. Write out these sentences putting the adjectives that are in brackets into the correct form. (one or two are already in the correct form. Leave them as they are.) 1)Tom is (old) than Richard.
John is the (clever) boy in the class. The weather is (fine) today than it was yesterday. 4)London is the (big) city in the world. 5)This sentence is (difficult) than the first one. 6)My dog is (good) than yours. 7)My dog is the (good )of the three. 8)This mountain is the(high) in Europe. 9)Tom is (tall) than Richard. 10)Tom is the (tall) boy in the class. 11)Mr.Robinson is (rich) than Mr.Green, but I don`t think he is( happy) than Mr.Green. 12)They have (many) hens than we have ,but they get (few) eggs.
Comparison of adjectives. Translate the following sentences from English into Kazakh. The new cinema in our district is much bigger than the old one. He is one of the most dangerous criminals in the world. Nevsky Prospect is much more beautiful than our street. That`s the funniest story I`ve ever heard. 5.What is your height? You are taller than me. 6.We started earlier than you. He was more careful than I. This student is the most attentive in our group. 9.I need a warmer coat. He was one of the most experienced workers at the factory. Better late than never. He was the eldest in the family. It is easier to swim in the sea than in the river. 14.This is the smallest room in our flat. Жіктеу есімдіктері.
