| Principle 2 Vowels are classified according to the position of the lips. According to this principle they are divided into: Rounded and Unrounded . Rounded vowels are those in the production of which the lips are more or less rounded and protruded: [ o,o:,u,u: ] Unrounded vowels are those in the production of which the lips are spread or neutral: [ i:,i, e, əe ,a:, 3:,ə,ᶺ ]
Principle 3 Vowels are classified according to their length. According to this principle vowels are divided into: Long and Short . Long vowels are: [i:, a:, o:, u:,3:]. Short vowels are: [i, e, o, u, ᶺ, ə] Principle 4 Vowels are classified according to the degree of tenseness. According to this principle vowels are divided into: Tense and Lax .Tense vowels are those in the production of which the organs of speech are tense: [i:, a:, o:, u:,3:]. Lax vowels are those when the organs of speech are less tense. All the English short vowels are lax: [i, e, o, u, ᶺ, ə] 3-сұрақ: Speak on topic «Student life» It’s great to be a student. Many colleges and universities offer great opportunities for studying and for social life. Some students even choose to study abroad. There are several reasons why student life is exciting. First of all, students learn what they need for their future profession. Secondly, being a student doesn’t mean to work and study all the time. They get plenty of free time for their hobbies and favorite pastimes. Thirdly, students’ social life is very interesting. Student life is never boring. It is always full of excitement and interesting experiences but the quarantine started when we were studying in the second half of the third year.it's been more than a year since we've been studying at home . this is good of course, but there are also disadvantages, for example, we missed our groupmates and teachers.
