Glossary
Accuracy
The use of correct forms of grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. In an
accuracy activity, students typically give more attention to correctness.
Achievable target, goal
An aim that is not too difficult for the learner to reach.
Achievement test
An
achievement test
is used to see how well students have learnt the language
taught in class. Achievement tests are often at the end of term or end of the year
and test the main points of what has been taught in that time.
Acquisition
To learn a language without studying it, just by hearing and/or reading and then
using it. This is the way we all learn our first language.
