The study of clinical anatomy of the cerebellar nuclei, as well as their functional charac-
teristics necessary for clinic to elaborate rational surgical approaches to these structures, to de-
termine of the localization of pathological processes in the nuclei of the cerebellum, etc. In this
regard, the aim of this study was to establish the morphological characteristics of the nuclei of
the cerebellum. The study was performed on 340 specimens of the cerebellum of people using
modern morphological research methods. The morphological features of the human cerebellar
nuclei were established. Namely, on the series of sections of the cerebellum in the horizontal,
frontal and sagittal planes, as well as on the macro-microscopic preparations of the cerebellar
nuclei location, their relative position, shape, linear dimensions, weight and volume were de-
scribed.
Keywords: anatomy, nucleus, the cerebellum.
Modern neurological clinic, as well as neurosurgery and neuromorphology,
constantly require further research of the morphological structure of the nuclei of
the cerebellum. The most studies of the cerebellum and its parts dedicated to
macromicroscopic anatomy, or histological structure of its formations [1, 2]. At the
same time, the authors used not complitely macro-microscopic methods proposed
by prof. Vorobiev V.P. and improved representatives of the Kharkiv anatomical
school [3, 5]. Increased use of these methods allows for more detailed and precise
study of the morphological features of the structure of the nuclei of the cerebellum
and to establish some regularities of their individual variability.
