THE FORMATION OF CINEMA IN SOVIET KAZAKHSTAN
AND THE IMAGES OF KAZAKHS OF THE HOUSEHOLD AND MILITARY TIME
Abstract
In the article on the basis of art ribbons and memoirs of filmmakers of Kazakhstan the process of formation of
the Kazakh national cinema in 1930-1950s is considered. Based on the results of the study of the plot content and
the ideological content of the films, it was revealed that, despite the rather rigid ideological framework on the part
of the Soviet censorship, the cinematographers of Kazakhstan managed to translate on the screen original images
and plots demonstrating the specificity and uniqueness of the Kazakh national spirit, mentality, culture and
traditions in general.
