Development of urban electric transport in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the context of selection of
rolling stock supplier countries
Abstract.
The article examines the development of urban electric transport in the Republic of Kazakhstan
during the thirty-year period of independence in the context of the orientation of enterprises towards chosen
suppliers. The analysis of the current situation in the sector is carried out. The results indicate that the consumers
are oriented towards Chinese manufacturers. Based on the findings, recommendations for improving the
marketing strategy for Russian stakeholders are proposed. The topic under consideration is related to UN SDG
11 and will interest specialists in city transportation, urbanism, sustainable development, public administration,
as well as geopolitics and international relations.
