Introduction. The state of output forage production qualityby the low yield of annual forage crops is ofinsufficient scrutiny in the country. One of the reasons for the low yield of annual forage crops in the Republic of Kazakhstan is the imperfection of the species composition. The little variety of feed types creates certain problems in agriculture. This situation adversely impacted on the adequate forage quantity in lots of farms. Therefore, the quality food supply is of low rate. The disqualification ofdemand and quantity of inter se output forage does not satisfy the livestock sector, also resulting in an increase in high cost of forage, low feed efficiency and high cost of livestock products [1].
Various feeding quality improvement are initiated. In order to improve the types of forage, different types of herbage mixtures are grown from perennial and annual forage crops. In the Saimasai village of the Enbekshikazakh district of the Almaty region, the domestic scientists studied 5-6 types of herbage mixtures composed of perennial grasses (alfalfa + thorny lotus + awnless brome + orchard grass + perennial ryegrass and alfalfa + holy clover + thorny lotus + awnless brome+orchard grass+perennial ryegrass) [2].
As a result of studies, carried out by scientists of the Primorsky Research Institute of Agriculture, digestible protein was obtained: common oats + vetch + peas - 175 g, common oats + alfalfa –167 g [3-5]. Therefore, it can be seen that crops containing herbage mixtures have a higher amount of digestible protein per fodder unit than pure grass crops. In addition, in the experimental center of the Siberian Research Institute, African millet was studied in the form of a pure crop and a herbage mixture with sowing of African millet + peas. According to the study data, the African millet has a higher digestible protein content - 49 g per kg of bean cultures in thebean ear formation and casting out phases, and African millet has a higher digestible protein content - 60 g during ripening and formation of green legumesthan legumes[6].
To enrich the fodder base of dairy and beef husbandry in livestock breeding, it is necessary to sow legumes, oil plants, grain crops in the form of mixtures. Herewith, it is necessary to take into account the differences in the chemical composition of herbs by stages of plant growth, which results in the optimum nutritional value of animal feed and green manure can be effectively used.
The primaryobjective of the study is to determine the chemical composition of various herbage mixtures in the drysteppe zone of Kazakhstan, depending on the sowing time and constituents, the optimal nutritional quality.
Research work in the conditions of the arid steppe zone of Kazakhstan was carried out in the station of industrial experiments of the Department of Agriculture and Crop Production of the S. Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University, Nur-Sultan in 2017-2018.
