Contents:The State and prospects of development of graphical information systems (GIS), their organization and opportunities. Features of software and tools GIS. Methods of creating, managing, and analyzing spatially distributed databases. Methods of automatic collection of cartographic information.
Competences:
To know the principle of creation of electronic maps; to know the principle of creation of databases by means of GIS and be able to search in the databases and to create spatial queries; to own methods of thematic mapping and geocoding; to be able to use a mathematical model to implement geoanalysis.
