Interpretation
of literary type little man in the prose of Russian Foreigns

In the article being considered the development of the literary type “little man” in prose of
the Russian foreign countries. The material of the study is the realist works of the first wave of
emigration. The methodological base includes historical-genetic, typological and comparative
methods of analysis. The works of Russian classics are used as precedent texts. The study is based
on the paradigm of S.G. Bocharova. This paradigm allows us to justify the delimitation between the
literary subtypes of "little man", "poor people", "humiliated and offended." As a result, a
conclusion is drawn about the features of its representation in the prose of the Russian foreign
countries.
