The article deals with the concept of "space" presented by numeratives on the basis of
materials of Orkhon written monuments. Scientific concepts of domestic and foreign scientists about
the concept of "space" and the term "numerative"are based, analyzed. The essence and purpose of
numeratives occurring in the language of monuments in the context of the concept of "space"are
specified. Through the concept of "space" helps to explain the culture, worldview, image of the
Turkic peoples, examples from the language of monuments. The text of the ancient Turkic written
monuments considers lexical-semantic meaning and cognitive-cognitive content of numeratives in
the concept of "space", analyzes their conceptual and conceptual character. Also, examples of
numeratives in the context of the concept "space" from the Yenisei written monuments are given.
Thus, it is concluded that the Turkic peoples had and still have a common perception of the "picture
of the world".
