| Specific features оf the oikonymic system of the North Kazakhstan region

The article explores the oikonymic system of the North Kazakhstan region. It is a combination of
two main ecosystems of the region: Kazakh and Russian, which are in constant interaction. Each of
them is characterized by its specific features: it has certain structural-word-formation and lexical-
semantic types. The Kazakh and Russian oikonymic systems of the region are characterized by a specific
set of oikonymic terms, appellatives. They participate in the formation of the names of settlements. Each
oikosystem of the region is characterized by its lexical base. The article presents the specific features of
the Kazakh and Russian toposystems in the region.
