Reflexive report on pedagogical practice
I, Zhanabayeva (Kuspanova) Assel, a 3rd year student of the specialty 6B01516 "Biology", passed pedagogical practice from 04.04.2022 - 30.04.2022 at the school – center of additional education № 4.
Pedagogical practice is one of the main forms of formation of the professional personality of the future teacher. The main purpose of the practice is the formation of pedagogical skills and competencies in terms of updating the educational program and implementing a system of criterion-based assessment in academic subjects, aimed at performing the functions of a subject teacher and class teacher, conducting educational work with students. I was assigned to teach biology in the 9"А" class with the consent of the school management. For two weeks of practice, I watched the students sitting in the background, attended the lessons of the subject teacher. During the internship, I conducted 3 hours of biology classes for two weeks. "The effects of smoking, drugs and alcohol on the development of the human fetus", " the emergence of life on Earth in the course of explaining the topics" Impacts of cigarettes, alcohol and drugs on fetal growth", "consequences of cigarettes, alcohol and drugs on fetal growth". In the 1st week, I was able to get to know them even more closely by conducting psychological tests and trainings for the 9"A" Class.
The course of classes held.
I intended to reveal the topic of the lesson using various methods on the topic" the influence of smoking, drugs and alcohol on the development of the human fetus".
Using the "Listening trio" method, I tried to explain the topic by dividing the students into three groups in order to understand the topic themselves.
A slide was shown on the interactive whiteboard, a video was shown explaining the dangers of smoking, drugs and alcohol. Using the "Free microphone" method, three groups asked each other 5 questions, and the topic was fully revealed. For feedback purposes recommendations were received from students.
Before starting the lesson on the topic "Stages of the emergence of life on earth", I divided the students into three groups using the method "What am I?". The lesson was organized in the form of a competition. I was able to fully involve students in the lesson using the methods of " Identification", "Build a crossword puzzle", "Proverbs". In order to get a high score, the children came together and shared what they had learned.
During the lesson, the plan of pedagogical practice was fully implemented. It was difficult to draw all the planned material in minutes. As part of the lesson, I often used creative tasks (creating mini-essays, illustrations, oral drawing). The creative approach to working with students, in my opinion, increases their cognitive interest in the subject, in general reading. During the practice, I tried to show myself only as a thoughtful, responsible practitioner, with a high speech culture and a strong theoretical knowledge base. First of all, I tried to establish emotional relationships with students, so that interaction within the framework of the educational process is as comfortable and effective as possible. In addition, being more about each student, I tried to find an individual approach to each of them, paying attention to their speech culture.I would like to note that pedagogical experience has become an important stage in my professional self-determination. It showed that I did not make a mistake in choosing a profession, that the hard work of a teacher is close to me, and that I am ready to continue my professional and personal growth in this field in the future after graduating from the University. It is very difficult to work with a children's team, but the joy of communicating with children, the willingness to meet the needs of a person who puts a lot of effort and work on their development is enormous. If I need to connect my future with teaching activities, I will definitely take into account the mistakes I made within this experience and try to correct them.
