Annotation: The article discusses the types of work tasks for the development of professional language
competence. Professional texts-a complex communicative unit of professional education, containing lexical
minima related to the specialty, necessary for the development of a particular specialty. While working with texts
related to the chosen specialty, students perceive the terms very well and actively work with them. Professional
texts - different content, thematic appeal, compiled in the norms of effective vocabulary, filled with the necessary
information for the specialty, with professional terms, should correspond to the level of students.
