I was very happy to return home and I spent several days in my summer cottage, I helped my grandpa to dig the garden, to water plants, and to gather fruit and vegetables. I was fishing with my grandpa and we were cooking fish together. Only insects were spoiling my good mood. I enjoyed floating by boat, swimming in the river and helping my grandparents. During my summer holidays I made many new friends, read a lot of interesting books, got to know a lot of useful things. Now I feel ready to get back to school. I am happy to meet my friends and teachers.(101) Summer holidays The beach is a traditional summer destination for thousands of people. Everyone wants to go to the beach! The Sun, surf, and sand are a magnetic lure for millions of visitors. The wealth of things to do includes sunbathing, jogging, boating, fishing and surfing. Ever presented breezes keep the temperature comfortable and the water warn. Beach cities are the centres for easygoing life styles. The newest trends in youth culture often originate there. For example, the roller-skating craze started on the Venice boardwalk. Though sea, sun and sand are the same, people try to go to a different place every year, because fauna, and flora, and the air are different. Spending holidays on the beach is a great rest though many people combine sunbathing with visiting museums and places of interest.(119 words) My favourite room We have recently moved to a new flat, which is situated not far from the city center. It’s a spacious three bedroom flat on the 5th floor. One room is for my parents, one room is for me and the last one if for our guests. I like all the rooms in this flat but my favourite place is, of course, my bedroom. It’s like a small world where I keep all my textbooks, CDs, stuffed animals, dresses, magazines, posters and else. I should say that my room is not big at all. The only furniture I have there is my bed, my desk with the chair, my bookcase and my wardrobe. Sometimes I make a mess, but then I have to clean up my room. On the desk there is a lamp, a computer, some school textbooks and lots of stationery, such as pens, pencils, markers, rulers, erasers and else.
