Audio script Speaker 1 I just love watching films and tend to choose ones that are crime thrillers because I love mysteries. However, a well-known film critic said that this new science-fiction film is a must-see, so I decided to go and see it. Although I haven't watched these types of films before, it was actually really fascinating! It was interesting and the twist at the end was totally unexpected!
Speaker 2 I don't often watch films, but my friend took me to the cinema for my birthday last month. We saw a film set in the future. Unfortunately, I found it really dull. The characters were poorly developed and the plot was completely unimaginative. However, when my friend asked me what I thought of the film I didn’t want to hurt her feelings so I told her it was great!
Speaker 3 I enjoy watching all types of films, science-fiction, drama, comedy, you name it. In fact, I’ve just watched an amazing true story about a man who lived with gorillas. The film shows us his unique experiences while studying animals in Africa. Although I disagreed with some of the man's ideas, he was a very strong-willed person. He faced many hardships while helping the animals and I found that quite inspiring.
Speaker 4 My favourite film is the War of the Worlds directed by Steven Spielberg. I saw it while at university and it got me interested in science-fiction films. I enjoy them because they are imaginative, but also tend to be quite realistic. Unfortunately, since I started working full-time, I haven't had the time to watch any films. I was given two cinema tickets last month, but I still haven't used them.
Speaker 5 I recently saw Logan, a science-fiction film which follows the adventures of Logan, the main character, as he tries to protect a young girl called Laura. It is the tenth X-Men film. The plot is amazing with a lot of action, unexpected twists and sad moments. Fans of this series will not be disappointed. I would definitely recommend this film to everyone. It is not to be missed!
