CYRIL AND METHODIUS - HOPEFUL PARTNER OF POLITICAL SCIENTISTS IN KAZAKHSTAN The article is devoted to the work of the Faculty of Social sciences of SS.Cyril and Methodius in Trnava, Slovakia. Special attention is devoted to peer-reviewed scientific journals and educational programs for political scientists at this university. Faculty of Social Sciences was created on 1th December 2011 by a rector of University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava, regarding the prior approval of the Academic Senate of UCM and the favourable response of the Accreditation Commission of the Government. The basis for the fourth faculty of the university has become a work of the Department of Political Science at Faculty of Arts, which was organizationally transformed on 10th September 2010 to Institute of Social Sciences. This step clearly declared the University›s leadership efforts to develop new academic facility, which is oriented to educational and scientific centre in the field of social sciences. This type is so far the only faculty in the academic area of Trnava. New faculty started its operations through four accredited programs transferred from the previous institute, where besides the already mentioned politics were gradually added new programs of public administration, European studies and social services and counselling in public administration. The oldest department of the faculty, older that the faculty themselves is the department of political science. The study program of political science is to able apply in practice the knowledge gained from individual special political science disciplines as fundamentals of political theory, history of political thinking, theory of political systems, theories of political parties, comparative political science, international relations, political geography, theories of democracy and political sociology. The next study that is related to the political science is the European Studies, these two study programes |
