The basic propositions to be defended

– the literary polemics of the 1920s takes a specific role in the history of modern Kazakh literary criticism;

– the critics of this period takes an important stand in the periodization process of the Kazakh literature and in the definition of its directions and schools;

– the literary polemics of those times contributed to the collection of materials for the formation of Kazakh science of literary criticism and has provided its fundamental basis;

– notwithstanding the fact that under the influence of the class belonging approach in the ideology and relevant disadvantages in the formation of methodological norms, the literary criticism of those time has greatly contributed to the development of Kazakh literature;

– the critics has fortified its positions as a separate independent branch of literature and has received a new impetus in its development;

– in the process of literary polemics in the Kazakh literary criticism there have originated such fundamentals of sciences as Abai studies and Magzhan studies.
