Summary. This article is devoted to the problems of selection and methodological support of differ-
entiated forms of organization of cognitive activity of undergraduates. Having experience in groups of
the specialty «Philology» (Russian and foreign), summarizing the results of observations, characteristics
of various forms of classroom and extracurricular activities of undergraduates, the authors present their
own vision of successful implementation of the tasks of postgraduate training of specialists. The article
identifies the most important conditions and factors for the formation of professional competence of
specialists in the conditions of master’s degree. Focuses on the study of the purpose and role of the su-
