Изучая тему исследования «Профессии», студенты выяснят, как выбор про- фессии влияет на жизнь человека. Они узнают о том, какие бывают профес- сии, и какая подготовка требуется для овладения необходимыми навыками и знаниями. Ребята установят взаимосвязь между различными профессия- ми и специальностями, познакомятся с профессиями, связанными с истори- ей, археологией и этнографией, узнают, как появились первые профессии. Также мы планируем пригласить родителей нашего класса, для того, чтобы они рассказали о своих профессиях, а также о том, какое образование они получили для овладения данными специальностями. Для итогового оценива- ния студенты напишут эссе «Профессия моей мечты». Панаитова Т.Д. Through learning the unit of inquiry “Career” students clarify how career choice affect on human’s live. They will learn kinds of careers and what education is needed to get necessary skills and knowledge. Students will connect different pro- fessions and specialists, learn about professions related to history, archeology and ethnography. They will learn about origin of the first professions. We have planned to invite parents of our class in order to learn about their professions, what kind education they got to achieve current position. Languages
During this Unit, students will read a variety of books for pleasure, instruction and information. In investigating the Unit, they will work co-operatively with their peers to access, read, interpret, and evaluate a range of texts both in print and online. Students will have various op- portunities to write independently, showing the develop- ment of their own voice and style. They will construct a written explanation to justify their future career choice, and will make use of chronological connectives when constructing a piece of procedural text. Students will review verb tense and will practise changing the tense of passages. They will also learn about the various uses of apostrophes, and will expand their vocabulary banks through exposure to a wide range of synonyms that they will subsequently be expected to make use of in their spoken and written work. Students will use a dictionary and thesaurus to check accuracy, broaden vocabulary and enrich their writing. They will learn to use speech to inform, entertain and influence others, and will need to use these skills for an oral presentation related to the Unit. They will also engage in listening activities, and will endeavour to respond appropriately to instructions, ques- tions and explanations. Students will receive a list of high-frequency words at the beginning of each week, and will have a spelling test on these words every Friday. Students have been issued with Reading Cards to ensure that reading English books becomes a part of their daily routine. Both of the above initiatives are effective ways of consolidating students’ grasp of high-frequency words, and your support in im- plementing these initiatives will be much appreciated.

During this Unit there will be a concentrated focus on the development of stu- dents’ writing skills. Stu- dents will review punctua- tion marks and will delve into the use apostrophes for contraction and posses- sion. They will learn to use speech marks to record direct speech, and will practise converting direct speech to indirect speech and vice versa. Students will construct text of differ- ent genres, including de- scriptive, narrative and informative text. They will engage in self- and peer- assessment on a regular basis, and will thus be en- couraged to take greater ownership of their learning.

Они подробно остановятся на морфологическом разборе слов данной части речи, на правопи- сании и на синтаксических признаках имен существительных. Также студенты начнут изучать имя прилагательное как часть речи, познакомятся с разрядами этой части речи, полными и краткими прилагательными; отработают на практике правописа- ние имен прилагательных. По теме исследования «Профессии» на уроках русского языка учащиеся будут составлять брошюры о различных про- фессиях с их описаниями, практикуясь в правописании имен су- ществительных и прилагательных. На уроках литературы ребята познакомятся с произведе- ниями детективного жанра. Студенты научатся определять твор- ческий стиль, манеру писателей-классиков и современных авто- ров. Точко Татьяна Александровна Mathematics На уроках математики мы будем изучать темы: «Действия над обыкновенными дробя- ми», «Нахождение дроби от числа и числа по его дроби», «Задачи на совместную рабо- ту». Студенты будут отрабатывать навыки работы с дробями с помощью компьютерной программы, а также будут решать задачи, связанные с новой темой исследования «Профессии». On math lessons we will learn about “Operations with simple fractions”, “Finding fractions from a number and numbers by its fraction”, “Collaborative work on problem solving”. Stu- dents will develop their skills on working with fractions using computer programs. Also stu- dents will solve Math’s problems related to the unit of inquiry “Career”. Nina Tarasova

Music Тема: «Музыкальная драматургия». Студенты будут изучать творчество великих композиторов- классиков: Л.Бетховена, П.Чайковского. Опира- ясь на уже имеющиеся знания, дети продолжат работу по написанию музыкального анализа, содержащего в себе описание музыкальных штрихов, динамических оттенков, темпа и ритма. Вокальная работа будет направлена на разучива- ние песен к 8 Марта. Theme: “Music drama”. Students will learn creative life of famous classical composers: Ludwig Van Beethoven, Pyotr Tchaikovsky. On the basis of the previous knowledge, children will continue work on writing of the musical analysis, which will contain description of music sketches, dynamic tints, tempo and rhythm. Vocal work will be directed on learn- ing songs to celebrate 8 of March. S.Shnaider Visual Art Students will share their dream profession in the lesson and will express their feeling through art. They will also discuss the im- pact of carrier on human life. They will have an idea about different profession, related organization and customs of it. Students will learn the proportion of human figure draw- ing. Студенты расскажут о профессии своей мечты и выразят свои чувства в рисунках. Они будут обсуждать влияние профессии на жизнь человека, получат сведения о различных профессиях и организациях. Также учащиеся узнают о пропорциях человеческой фигуры и познакомятся с основными правилами рисования челове- ка.
DEEPA SHARMA ART Dance На уроках хореографии учащиеся продол- жат работу у гимнастического поручня с целью изучения упражнений в различных комбинациях
на середине зала, а также будут развивать творческие навыки в ходе создания небольших танцевальных этюдов. В рамках темы исследования «Профессии» ребята обсудят и узнают, какие виды дея- тельности включает в себя профессия хо- реографа. During dance lessons, Grade 5 students will continue to work at barre and will learn differ- ent combinations. They will also develop crea- tive skills in making small dance etudes. In connection with the unit of inquiry “Careers” students will explore about activities related to “Choreographer” as a profession and have a discussion on this theme.
