Image Of Tepegoz (Cyclops): In The Epos And Literature
Image of Tepegoz – Cyclops in a Turkish mythological origin, has a chtonic spirit and his name is associated with
the underground world. World famous for its antiquity found in the literature of the type known as Cyclops and chaos
represents invincible enemy. The image called Cyclopes found in European and Russian literature and folk literature -
many tales, epos “Novruz-Gandab” an s.o.
But chaos, relatives with the image of Cyclops from the eighth song of the “Kitabi Dede Gorgud” – “Basat Killing
of Tepegoz” reflected in the plot is even more ancient history. The epic story about ancient ethnic history in terms of the
information it carries the idea itself is located in the old ages. Tales, including ‘Cyclops”, “Kellegoz”, “The king's son”,
and others have o motives with the image of the Cyclops.
