ANCIENT PICTURES OF THE HORSE IN THE PETROGRIPHS OF THE KARATAU RIDGE
Annotation
The horse had a special place in economic culture and world view of the ancient tribes and nationalities of the
Eurasian space. This article discusses questions of period of images of ancient horses in the petroglyphs of the
Karatau Range and possible relationships with adjacent regions. It is also about transformation appearance, the
shape of the images of horses, the characteristics of rocks, changes, which they were exposed for a certain period
of time. The article highlights influence of zoomorphic images of the Bronze Age in the formation of the Saka
pictorial tradition.
