| The topicality of dissertation. The literature is as a mirror of social life reflects first of all the spiritual aspirations and expectations of the people. In transition of the Kazakh society from nomadic way of life into the settled way of life work as the phenomenon of the new realities and circumstances becomes actual for the Kazakh society. Shaking of the bases of traditional way of life in the conditions of colonization demanded the revision and reconsideration of world outlook concepts of the Kazakh nation. The gradual loss of a habitual way of life conducted to an impoverishment and degradation of broad masses. The literature as a basis of spiritual life and a live current of national soul reacts to all these changes. And Abay, Shakarim and Mashhur Zhusup sharply criticize in their works the defects and lacks of fellow tribesmen and relatives, and all forces of an art word have been directed on formation of a new image of man of work. This artistic image of the person of work bravely overcomes the new branches of work as trade, agriculture, the craft etc. And today, when Kazakhstan has found independence and became the free country, these crucial issues of our life - ability to work, the standard of work – become more and more actual for our society. And work as a basis of human advantage and self-esteem all becomes claimed for achievement of good results in world rivalry of high technologies and the information.
Though the problem of value of work in the Kazakh literature in second half of ХІХ century and in the beginning of XX century hasn't been investigated as a special dissertational theme, in Soviet period there were many literary critics who devoted scientific workings to this theme. It is M.Bazarbaev's scientific work «A topic of work in the Kazakh-Soviet poetry» (1956), B.Darimbetov «The formation of an artistic image of the person of work in the Kazakh poetry of 50-70 years» (1988), A.Raimbekov «The working class in the Kazakh-Soviet poetry» (1966) and other works. The general feature of these proceedings consists that all of them have been investigated through a prism of a vulgar-sociological method and the bases of traditional outlook of the Kazakh people haven't been considered. Getting the independence the former ideological barriers have been removed, a number of researchers partially concern this theme in their works.
