Folk traditions in "The Tale of the ballad" Abish Kekilbaev
This article examines folk traditions in Abish Kekilbaev’s prose. The "ballad stories" include folk legends of
the Central Asia peoples. They are being the constituent elements of the writer’s works. The dramatic stories, the
image system, the type characters convey to novels the features of ballad genre. Accordingly his artistic goals
writer use psychological parallelism, metaphors, epithets, characteristic of popular works inherent to the folklore
style.
The frequent motives of revenge, death, despair, fear, loneliness, freedom, dreams bind text in whole. They
are become rhythmic melodies of the writer’s stories. The motive system affects not only the composition but it
serves also the ideological objectives in the works. Folklore elements give an artistic perspective stories, they
are deeping philosophical content of the prose and containing the moral and ethical issues.
