Статья посвящена обзору первых публикаций о творческом наследии Абая и творческом пути велико- го поэта. Автором приведены краткие сведения о судьбе учеников поэта, первых исследователей и по- следователей творчества Абая, живших во время тоталитарного режима. Рассмотрены литературные и публицистические труды, описывающие творчество Абая Кунанбаева. Проанализированы опублико- ванные в первой четверти ХХ века статьи об Абае. Изучено влияние, оказанное поэзией Абая, на ли- деров Алаш Орды. В статье приведены ссылки на работы Халела Габбасова, посвященные роли зна- ния и просвещения, а также на материалы газеты «Сарыарка», которая также внесла огромный вклад в дело просвещения казахского народа. Shauenova Abai and the journalism of his time The article tells about the first publications about the great poet Abai and about his creative path. Gives brief information about the fate of his students and followers, who respected his work durinq the totalitarian reqime. Literary and journalistic works that originate from Abai's heritage were observed in this publication. The published articles that were going out at that time are analyzed. Also, brief information is provided about the leaders of the Alash-Horde, inspired by Abai's legacy. A review of Khalil Gabbasov's works on knowledge and enlightenment is given. The newspaper «Saryarka» is considered, which brought to the Ka- zakh people an innovation in the consciousness and culture of the nation.
